Transferring files between computers takes up bandwidth?. Does transferring files over a network use bandwidth. Does transfering files over network count as download usage?. Does transfering files over a network take bandwidth?. Does copying files over the network use bandwidth.
Hi guys,
Simple question.
My ISP has a limit on how much I can download per month. by transferring files from my laptop to my PC over a network (set up wirelessly with the modem I use to access the internet) will the data being sent from laptop to computer be logged and count towards my overall bandwidth consumption?
Thanks for any insight!
No, it shouldn't.Does transferring files on a home network use bandwidth.
it has nothing to do with your isp. Although it will take up bandwidth on YOUR home network.
If you are just talking about transfering from one computer to the other it shouldn't, but if you store stuff on the internet like a backup then yes it will.
Will I use bandwidth when transferring files between two computers on a network?
