why company need IDS?

Im in the Video survelliance industry,and prevention is the key.
we use motion sensors,infrared sensors,glass break sensors,pan/tilt.zoom cameras ,night vision cameras.
the usual set up is:
the sensors are conected to the cameras so when there is motion or a change of temperature on an object the camera will turn around to a pre-program location,at the same time it will send a signal to the computer ,then the computer can do several things:
it can lock all the doors and gates,it can turn lights on or off,most of the programs have voice files that means the computer will tell you where and what time the motion was detected,if it has a dedicated phone line it can call the cops,it can activate sounders strobes,you name it,also if there is more than one camera in the building you need a multiplexer, what this do is it split your monitor into sixteen little squares so you can see all the cameras at the same time,and in the event of an alarm the camera nearest to the motion will blow up on full screen.
in order to buy equipment you must be a dealer that means you have to send people to training to get certified.
evry bussines no matter how small it is shoul have IDS not only because of theft but because of security.remenber if they see a camera they will think twice.
