Im working on an assignment and i came across aCisco's IP telephony which is a Pabx system though which works with standard PSTN phone lines though the phones connect to the system via IP, and i cant seem to find and books related to this or websites, can someone help by explaining it more in detail or linking me to an e-book i can use or website which explains it ? Thanks !
"PABX" actually means PBX.
You are talking about Voice over IP ("VoIP"). "PBX" means "private branch exchange" and when used with IP networks it is a way for people and businesses to set up a phone system that uses networks instead of phone lines.
If you google "VoIP PBX" you will get over 3 million hits.
Does anyone know What is a IP Pabx?
